Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This policy explains how your personal information is collected, used and protected when you use apexbjj.co.uk (the “Site”) or contact Apex Jiu-Jitsu (“Apex”, “we”, “us”) about training with us.
Who is responsible for your data
The Site and its enquiry system are operated and hosted on Apex Jiu-Jitsu’s behalf by Wohlf Solutions Ltd, which is registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under reference ZC248745. Apex Jiu-Jitsu is the gym you are contacting and the business these details relate to.
For any question about your data, or to exercise any of the rights below, contact us at info@apex-bjj.com or on 07385 811179.
What we collect
When you submit the free-class / enquiry form on the Site, we collect:
- Your name, email address and phone number;
- The class you’re interested in; and
- Anything you type into the notes field.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use your details solely to respond to your enquiry, arrange your free class and answer your questions. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before you join and our legitimate interest in responding to people who ask about training. Where you provide health information, we rely on your explicit consent, given by choosing to include it.
Who can see it
Your enquiry is stored in Apex’s booking/enquiry system and is visible only to Apex staff who handle enquiries. The system is hosted by Wohlf Solutions on Railway (a cloud hosting provider). We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. We may disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and in any event no longer than 12 months, after which they are deleted. If you go on to join Apex, your details are transferred into our membership and booking system and are governed by the terms you agree to at sign-up.
Cookies and tracking
The Site does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other websites. It uses a small amount of functional browser storage only to make pages work (for example remembering a preference). No third-party tracking pixels are active.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email info@apex-bjj.com.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
